A holiday map skills project excites fourth graders

It was an amazing scene as I entered Mrs. Hoin’s classroom today.   All of the children were bent over pumpkins drawing and tracing.   You could tell all of the students were concentrating deeply on their projects as you could have heard a pin drop.    As I circulated around the room, children analyzed their mapping skills to determine how well they were able to replicate the globe on the sides of the pumpkin that was in front of them.    Take a look at this amazing learning adventure.
