A look at this week

Arrival of winter temperatures reminds us that, as the weather turns colder please remember to make sure that your child has the appropriate attire to be comfortable while playing outside (hats, gloves, scarves, coats, etc).  As long as the weather permits, our playground monitors take the children outside for recess and we would like to make sure the children are dressed properly to match the temperatures.

It is always a good idea to review your emergency plan if for some reason your child is dropped off at the end of the day and a parent is not home.   Sometimes parents or guardians are delayed and we miss the connection at bus drop off.   Please review with your child what the plan would be if they get off the bus and a parent is not there.    Plans should include, neighbors to visit, a plan to enter the house, what to do once they are inside the house and who to call if this happens.    Talking ahead of time helps to prepare youngsters for these situations if they happen.
