Musser’s Market

Thank you Musser’s Market for sponsoring our school this year on numerous occasions.  Your support was so graciously appreciated.  The “Thank You” poster we made them is hanging in the lobby of the market.

Summer Reading Incentives

The students have grown so much as readers and leaners this year.  The teachers and staff want to see the children hold on to all the knowledge they have gained.   One way to do this is through submersing your children in good books this summer!

A summer reading challenge will be coming home in your child’s report card.  Students who read at least 600 minutes  this summer will have a special time to celebrate when returning in the fall.  Click on the link below for more information.

Summer Reading Challenge

Barnes and Noble is also offering a summer reading incentive.  By simply reading any 8 books, filling out the form, and taking the completed form back to Barnes and Noble, your child can earn a free book.  Click on the link below for more information.

Barnes and Noble Summer Reading

I wish you all a very safe and relaxing summer.  I have truly enjoyed my time here at Martic.  You are one amazing community! ~Mrs. Transue

Challenge Day

The 6th grade Challenge Day event raised over $700 for 13 different charities.  Wow!  The 6th graders worked very hard on this project, and I’m sure the charities they represented are extremely grateful!  Way to go 6th grade!

Situation Resolved

The Millersville Borough Police investigation of the SUV incident reported this morning has been successfully resolved. The individual in question was located and is working for the International House in Millersville. He was asking for help in setting up the yard sale when he approached the child. Police are satisfied that he is not a threat to the community. Student safety is always our top priority. Thank you for your help in keeping all children safe.

Important Information

Millersville Borough Police contacted the school district this morning regarding a man who attempted to lure a child into a vehicle at the International House Field at the intersection of Leaman and Manor Avenues in Millersville.  This incident was reported to police today, but actually occurred at approximately 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 29th.
The vehicle is described as a dark blue Isuzu SUV.  The driver is described as a darker complected, middle-aged male with a salt and pepper mustache.  The investigation is ongoing.
You are encouraged to contact the Millersville Borough Police or your child’s school if you observe this vehicle and/or driver.  Eshleman Elementary School, the Penn Manor staff, and school bus drivers have also been alerted to this situation. Thank you for your help in keeping all children safe.
