School Information

Welcome to Martic Elementary School. My name is Jen Sugra and I am delighted to join the Martic staff, students and parents as your new principal. I have had the opportunity to spend three decades working in the amazing field of education. My range of experiences have allowed me to teach at the middle school and also at the elementary setting. All of these experiences have taught me an important lesson: Elementary is the place to be!

Martic Elementary is located in the southern end of Lancaster County and is surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful farmland. We serve three hundred and twenty students ranging from kindergarten through sixth grade. The entire Martic staff is focused on developing 21st century learners who are capable of such skills as collaboration, critical thinking and effective communication. This is accomplished by providing the students with opportunities to explore, discover and create.

We are committed to providing students with the opportunity to grow both socially and academically throughout their educational careers. Our services also include support from a part time guidance counselor, two academic support teachers, gifted education teacher, speech therapist, learning support teacher and instrumental music instructor.

We believe that home and school is a partnership and we must work closely together for the benefit of our children. We hope that you will be an active partner through this journey. Please communicate early, volunteer as much as you can, get involved in school activities and support the efforts of the Martic P.T.O. I look forward to meeting all of you as we work together to provide each child a safe, caring and joyful place to grow and learn.
